Film-lovers have reason to be cheerful this month, following news that mobile filmfest Play Poland has landed on our shores. Screenings and events, which began on 2 Aug, will run until 25 Sep throughout Scotland, mostly at the Glasgow Film Theatre and Edinburgh Filmhouse. Films include features such as Little Rose (2010) directed by Jan Kidawa-Blonski, General Nil (2009) directed by Ryszard Bugajski, Black (2009) directed by Dominic Matwiejczyk, Horizontal 8 (2009) directed by Grzegorz Lipiec and Mystification (2009) directed by Jacek Koprowicz. A Film Mountain strand will also allow the audience to see a series of shorter films.
