Is That All There Is?

Scotland welcomes neglectful son Lindsay Anderson home this fortnight (despite having Scottish ancestry Anderson never visited Scotland) with the Scottish premiere of Malcolm McDowell’s tribute concert film Never Apologize and this Monorail Film Club presentation of his last completed film from 1993. Commissioned by the BBC as part of a series of films by directors about themselves, Is That All There Is? is an absurdist self-portrait of one very grumpy and funny old man. The film will be preceded by a screening of Anderson’s Free Cinema cult classic short O Dreamland. Screening will be introduced by Gerard McInulty of theatre company 12 Stars and music collective The Occasional Keepers.

GFT, Glasgow on Sun 21 Sep.
