Edinburgh College of Art wins at Scottish BAFTAs
Edinburgh College of Art is celebrating success after winning two top awards at the Scottish BAFTAs.
Anders Jedenfors and Jaime Stone, two recent graduates from the city's college of art, scooped a Bafta for their work on animation.
Sunday night's award ceremony in Glasgow saw the pair triumph in the Best Animation category for their series of short films, entitled 'The World According To…'.
Multi-award winning student Anders, who, along with Stone, has already beaten off competition from across Scotland to triumph at the Edinburgh Film Festival and bring home the McLaren award for the same set of films said: "Jamie and I are thrilled about winning a Bafta Scotland award. A lot of hard work went into making these films and it's a great feeling to see them win."
The college were also victorious in the Short Film category, picking up the Bafta for 'Ma Bar'. The film, made by the Scottish Documentary Institute in the college, immortalises the life of 73 year old Scottish weightlifter, Bill McFayden.
