The film strand of the Edinburgh’s Science Festival taking place between the 3-17 April includes preview screenings of the BBC’s new World of Wonder series films, American documentary Blast! – a giddy journey in to the complex world of astrophysics and Yavar Abbas’ mind-boggling Journey To the Edge of the Universe, an attempt to map the trip from Earth to infinity. Elsewhere 400 Years of the Telescope tells you all you need to know about the astrologer’s weapon of choice, and Age of Stupid and An Inconvenient Truth make the case for global warning, mass consciousness and political activism.
