This long overdue season of crime thrillers from Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland includes the recent adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, the original 1997 version of Insomnia (later remade by Christopher Nolan), a brace of the Swedish language episodes of Wallander, nasty Icelandic puzzler Jar City and surreal Swedish oddity The Ape.
