Naomi Watts to play Draco in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Obligatory Harry Potter news
Naomi Watts has signed on to the latest big screen outing for the boy wizard, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. The King Kong actress is to play Draco Malfoy’s mother Narcissa in the penultimate movie in the series. Watts, while Australian, reckons she’ll fit right in with the mainly British cast, saying: “I consider myself British and have very happy memories of the UK. I spent the first 14 years of my life in England and never wanted to leave. When I was in Australia I went back to England a lot.” Other casting news sees Joseph Fiennes and Stuart Townsend due to appear, but no news as to which characters they’ll play has cropped up. However, since Ralph Fiennes plays Lord Voldemort and a young Voldemort is featured heavily in the book, is it reasonable to suggest his little brother might be stepping into Ralph’s shoes?
