It's a difficult decision that arises whenever any major festival rolls around: which events do you simply have to see, and what will you be missing in order to do so? Searching rigorously through the programme, scribbling all over the calendar, weighing the pros and cons of each event – it's a lot of hard work for something that's meant to be enjoyable.

Luckily, The List has done the heavy lifting for you: we've scoured the Glasgow Film Festival brochure and cherry-picked the most interesting films, and arranged things so you can watch up to three of them on any day of the festival with no overlaps.
