A mixed bag for Scarlett Johansson
- 17 August 2007
Actress Scarlett Johansson has a busy and diverse period ahead of her. She has lined up a series of roles which will see her moving from comedy, to film noir, to costume drama in less than a year. Johansson has joined Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Connelly and Drew Barrymore for ensemble comedy “He’s Just Not That Into You”, to play a Pilates teacher/aspiring singer in the movie of interconnecting stories. Next up Johansson will become a femme fatale in Will Eisner’s “The Spirit”, being filmed in classic film noir comic strip style by “Sin City’s” writer and director Frank Miller. “The Spirit” is due for release in 2009. This winter Johansson will change roles again, opting for lead role in the long-in-development “Mary Queen of Scots”, based on the early life of the unfortunate queen.
