Mummy 3 online, a nation celebrates

  • 20 September 2007

After the stunning double miss of the Mummy Returns and the horrible, HORRIBLE Scorpion King, you’d be forgiven for greeting the upcoming Mummy 3 like a llama hair in a cream horn.

However, the briefest of ganders at the new online featurettes (sigh) advertising The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor could almost make you want to see it.

Rob Cohen’s in the stenciled chair and Rachel Weisz has been replaced by Maria Bello, with Brendan Fraser of course returning as Rick O’Connell.

But the biggest draw will surely be Jet Li popping up as the shape-shifting Emperor Qin – fair enough Li has been in some god awful movies but he really does boot people in the chops like no-one else about at the minute.

And if cinema’s not about more and more inventive ways of connecting shoes with a jawline, I have no idea what it’s for.
