Gwyneth Paltrow launches Spanish adventure

Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow has kicked off a tour around Spain to film a new show about the country’s food and culture.

The itinerary has not been disclosed to Paltrow, but will see the actress travel with New York Times food critic Mark Bittman and Spanish actress Claudia Bassols.

They will visit restaurants, museums and other Spanish attractions for the series ‘Spain… On The Road Again’.

The four month trip will culminate in a 13-part series, due to air stateside next autumn.

Fluent in Spanish, after living with a family in the country as a teenager, she said of her upcoming adventure: “I don’t know what we are going to do, but it is going to be fun.”

Paltrow, who is a vegetarian, said she will enjoy traditional fish and rice dishes on the road.

The-35-year-old, who won the best actress Oscar in 1998 for Shakespeare in Love, is married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin, with whom she has two children.
