Daniel Craig signs up for four more Bond adventures
- 2 November 2007
Critics who poured scorn on the idea that Daniel Craig could enjoy the odd vodka martini as a tuxedo-clad 007 should look away now – as the British actor has signed up for four more films.
Craig, who was well received as a dark and brooding James Bond in Casino Royale, was already lined up for the next installment. But Hollywood studio MGM has now firmly secured his place for the franchise with an additional three outings.
Work on the 22nd Bond film is well underway. The draft screenplay has been completed by Oscar-winning writer-director Paul Haggis, with some Italy-based scenes already in the bag.
The film is also expected to top up on exotic locations, with scenes to be shot in the Alps, Panama and South Africa this winter.
No details have been revealed on Craig’s Bond girls, although rumours suggest casting director Carla Hool arrived in Mexico City last week on the hunt for a Latina actress.
