Sex and the City role for New York Major
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is to guest star in the film version of the popular series Sex and the City.
Set to appear as himself in the movie, Bloomberg is following in the footsteps of his predecessors, after former New York Mayor Ed Koch played himself in the HBO series in 2001.
US presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani – another former New York Mayor – also enjoyed appearances on Law & Order and Seinfeld.
The television series, which ended in 2004, revolved around the life of columnist Carrie Bradshaw.
Filming for Sex and the City: The Movie started in September, with Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon reprising their roles as Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda.
