SEE: Images from Woody Allen's next film, Magic in the Moonlight
An ensemble cast features Colin Firth, Emma Stone, Marcia Gay Harden and Jacki Weaver
Never one to rest on his laurels (he's been averaging a film a year since Annie Hall in 1977), Woody Allen has already begun principle photography on his next project, the recently-announced title for which is Magic in the Moonlight. As with any Allen project, the film has managed to pick up an impressively starry ensemble cast, featuring Colin Firth, Emma Stone, Marcia Gay Harden and Jacki Weaver, with support from Hamish Linklater, Simon McBurney, Erica Leerhsen, Catherine McCormack, Paul Ritter and Jeremy Shamos.
Plot details have been scarce so far, but the pictures at least tell us something: Firth, Stone and Gay Harden have been snapped in period garb from the 1920s-30s, with vintage cars, country manor-style architecture and some lush acreage forming the backdrop. Taking into account these minor details (and the fact that this is a Woody Allen film), we'll go out on a limb to suggest that jazz will form at least part of the soundtrack.
Magic in the Moonlight is due for release sometime in 2014.
