Please note: if you've emailed us an entry to this year's short film competition on or before the 14th of January 2008, please re-send it to shortfilmcompetition@list.co.uk.
Sorry - we've had a few gremlins.

Following the success of last year’s One Minute Wonder competition The List and Metro Ecosse would like to announce their second short film screenwriting competition.

This time we are asking for three minute screenplays and the theme is ‘Big’. The script must be set in Scotland and is open to anyone over the age of 16 who is resident in Scotland. Nine scripts will be short listed by a jury of film experts and then professionals will make three of the scripts into short films.

The deadline for admissions is Friday 22 February. Go on - let us make your film for you.

For more information about how to enter and the terms and conditions of the competition please download an application form.

How do you find out about who's making the films?

When you send a script, do you get an email saying it's been received? I submitted but but didn't get an email, got a new computer and seem to have problems sending emails from it. Was showing in sent messages, was just wondering really.

Hi Thanks for your questions
I would like to take the chance to answer both these questions. The directors of the films will be announced shortly after the competition jury have decided on a shortlist of scripts, we hope that will be sometime in March.
We generally do not acknowledge the receipt of scripts just because of time constraints, but rest assured all the scripts have arrived well including your own.
Thanks

Are we right to assume that you have now chosen the finalists to be invited to the workshop weekend 7/8 March and therefore if we have not heard from you our entries have not been successful?
