Direct to DVD and topping this year’s Razzie’s with nine nominations, the latest Lindsay Lohan vehicle doesn’t have a great pedigree. While it’s far from a cinematic masterpiece it doesn’t quite deserve all the flack it’s been attracting. Lohan plays Aubrey Fleming, a small town gal who loves the piano and dates a quarterback. Until she’s abducted by a local serial killer with a taste for prolonged torture. Her mutilated body is found by the road barely alive, but when she wakes she claims she’s someone else entirely, badass stripper Dakota Moss. Is she lying or is Aubrey still in jeopardy?
It’s a fairly nonsensical thriller with a supernatural twist. Lohan is, as always, watchable, but this is a flat performance compared to Mean Girls and Just My Luck. Extras include alternative opening, alternative ending and an extended strip scene for those who like that kind of thing.
