UK girl group work with Vue on tour screening

Girls Aloud are to broadcast their London concert to 50 Vue cinemas across the UK.

On Saturday 17th May, as part of Vue's ongoing ‘Larger Than Live’ series, the successful girl group's show at London’s O2 Arena will be broadcast live to 50 Vue cinemas across the country.

The project uses the High Definition Digital technology and 5:1 Dolby Surround Sound.

After five years together, four albums and a greatest hits CD, Girls Aloud entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the girl group with the most consecutive top 10 hits. Their 2008 24-date Tangled Up tour of the UK starts in Belfast on 3rd May.

This live broadcast is part of Vue’s ‘Larger Than Live’ event calendar, a programme of live simulcasts which has included Take That’s Beautiful World Tour, Kylie Minogue’s White Diamond documentary, Genesis from Düsseldorf and Ross Noble, one of the UK’s most popular comedians. Other events covering football and Formula 1 have taken place with more to be scheduled in the future.
