Chores

★★★★★ Broadway Baby  |  ★★★★ The List  |  ★★★★★  Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

Chores is the story of two typical young rascal boys playing in their messy bedroom. Suddenly, their mother’s alarming screams rattle the boys back in to acrobatic action. A generous serve of comedy and chaotic acrobatics accompanies every attempt at cleaning their room and doing their chores. This mess of chaos and comedy concludes with a last-minute cleaning spree.

Inspired by slapstick legends Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, the side-splitting duo of Chores is coming your way. Two excitable brothers, are definitely, probably, maybe, just about to, almost, at some stage, going to do the chores their mother has asked them to do… With highlights of skilled stunts and uproarious, interactive gags, and with very little spoken dialogue, the audience will find themselves on the edge of their seats and giggling until the chores are done.

The Guest

Ben set out on foot. On his way he passed a deep, endless chasm that everyone thought they were going to fall off but no one ever did. He met a thin-looking ice-cream van on a big hill struggling to get any customers, and accidentally walked into a room where a million ghosts were playing bridge. By the time he realised where he was, it was difficult to get home.

Ben (Emergency Chorus, Celebration) and Jack (Poltergeist, Lights Over Tesco Car Park) make plays. People keep telling them their plays are fun for the whole family. That’s why they’re making a show together. That’s why they’re going to invite 7 – 12 year olds.

At Theatr Clywd, they’re learning how to make it. They’re heading to the land of the dead. Wanna come with?

Ben and Jack are one of the TYFU companies in residence this year.
