For Those That Rock Presents a big Rock double header… Guns or Roses Formed in 2009, Guns or Roses began extensive rehearsals to launch themselves as the most musically accurate tribute to the Hollywood hellraisers. Eight years on, they are the only UK GnR tribute to have maintained a fixed lineup of members. Since their concept, the band have gone from strength to strength, wowing audiences and gaining thousands of fans with their performances all over the UK, Ireland and Europe – including festivals in Norway, Switzerland, Belgium and Bulgaria. Recently they have appeared at The Isle Of Wight festival and have even headlined a festival at Donnington, home of the infamous Monsters of Rock! Their biggest audience came in 2015 when the band appeared in an episode of ‘Don’t Tell the Bride’ on BBC One as the main focus of a wedding. The episode aired to 3.2 million people, making it the highest ever watched episode at the time. Guns or Roses are widely regarded as the most authentic sounding tribute in the UK and can even boast the very same guitar rig as Slash himself. With signature equipment and custom made costumes, the band adopt the sound, look and attitude of the original LA legends. A force to be reckoned with, Guns or Roses have to be seen to be believed. Whitesnake UK Whitesnake UK play tribute to the very best of David Coverdale’s multi platinum selling band, Whitesnake – from the early classic Moody / Marsden line up to the present day US incarnation, faithfully reproducing timeless classics such as ‘Fool For Your Loving’ ‘Is This Love’ & ‘Here I Go Again’. Whitesnake UK concentrate purely on reproducing the classic sound of Whitesnake without the need for artificial backing tracks, gimmicks or wigs. For a 100% live experience that will leave you shouting for more, Whitesnake UK are sure to deliver!

Hot Chocolate

Hot Chocolate

Hot Chocolate started their recording career making a reggae version of John Lennon's "Give Peace a Chance". He was contacted by Apple Records, discovered that John Lennon liked his version, and the group was subsequently signed to Apple Records. The link was short-lived as The Beatles were starting to break up, and the Apple connection soon ended.

In 1970 Hot Chocolate, with the help of record producer Mickie Most, began releasing tracks that became hits, such as "Love is Life", "Emma", "You Could Have Been a Lady", and "I Believe in Love".

It was in the disco era of the mid-1970s that Hot Chocolate became a big success. A combination of high production standards, the growing confidence of the main songwriting team of Wilson and Brown, and tight harmonies enabled them to secure further big hits like "You Sexy Thing" and "Every 1's a Winner".

In 1977, after scoring 15 hits, they finally reached Number One with "So You Win Again”. Other hits followed including “No Doubt About It”, “Girl Crazy”, “Brother Louie” & “Put Your Love In Me”.

The band became the only group, and one of just three acts, that scored a hit in every year of the 1970s in the UK charts (the other two being Elvis Presley and Diana Ross). The band eventually had at least one hit, every year, between 1970 and 1984.

They continued well into the 1980s, and clocked up another big hit record: "It Started With a Kiss", in 1982, which reached Number 5 in the UK. In all, the group charted 25 UK Top 40 hit singles. Their single "You Sexy Thing" became the only track that made British Top Ten status in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Its renewed appreciation can be credited in part to its appearances in a string of successful films starting with the 1997 comedy The Full Monty.

The Selecter: 40th Anniversary Tour + DJ Rhoda Dakar

The English Beat

The Selecter have announced their 40th Anniversary Tour with Special Guest and DJ Rhoda Dakar. The Selecter will be playing an extended, hit-rich set each night with some added live favourites and surprises. They will also be joined for a few songs by vocalist Rhoda Dakar who will also play a DJ Set to open the nights.

The Selecter is led by their iconic frontwoman Pauline Black and co-fronted by original member Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson. Pauline Black is one of very few women in the 2-Tone scene - she is often referred to as the Queen of Ska. Not only a crucial figure in the music community, Black is also a published author, gifted actress and a celebrated style icon.

The anarchic passion that fuelled Selecter gigs during the original 2-Tone era is still there, except the pair are more driven than ever. Their confidence is sky-high and they’re also writing the best songs of their career, which is saying something given the enduring popularity of hits like “Three Minute Hero,” “Missing Words,” “Too Much Pressure” and “On My Radio.”

Please note there is a £2 ticket commission fee included in the price of the ticket.

This event is not part of our usual group booking discount.

Y&T

This show was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday 31 October 2020, but will now take place on Saturday 30 October 2021. Original tickets remain valid. Before Mötley Crüe, before RATT, even before there was a Metallica, Y&T was slogging away in sweaty rock clubs around the US. When the band formed in the early 1970s, little did they know they would set the standard for hard rock bands that trailed. Many of the biggest acts of the ‘80s became popular opening for headliners Y&T – and cut their teeth on the band, as evidenced by the Y&T mentions in tell-all books by acts such as Metallica and Mötley Crüe. Born in Oakland, California, Y&T is one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s own innovators of the hard rock sound. Whether performing to a festival crowd of fifty-thousand or in an intimate nightclub, their high-energy sets and passionate performances still captivate legions of fans around the globe, proving Y&T’s music timeless. Originally formed as Yesterday and Today, the initial powerhouse quartet – featuring Dave Meniketti (lead guitar/lead vocals), Phil Kennemore (bass), Leonard Haze (drums), and Joey Alves (rhythm guitar) – tore through the ‘70s and ‘80s with their own brand of hard rock. After two ‘70s albums on London Records, they shortened their name to Y&T and released eight albums on A&M in the ‘80s. Two more albums with Geffen Records marked an era of change with Jimmy DeGrasso (Alice Cooper, Suicidal Tendencies, Megadeth) on drums and Stef Burns (Alice Cooper, Berlin, Huey Lewis) on guitar. This is a 16+ event - you may be asked to prove your age and if you are not able to show valid ID, you may be refused entry.
