Westmorland Orchestra May Concert; Mozart Clarinet Concert, Brahms and Hindemith

Our May concert includes Jack Horrocks joining the orchestra to play Mozart's sublime Clarinet Concerto in A, recognised by many from the various films the music has graced - Out of Africa, The King's Speech and more.  The Westmorland Orchestra will also be performing Brahms' 2nd Symphony, and from the last century, Hindemith's extraordinary Symphonic Metamorphosis of Themes by Carl Maria von Weber.

Tickets will be on general sale from 1st October 2021.

Westmorland Orchestra Spring Concert; Dvorak New World, Trombone Concerto, Holm's Equilibrium

This concert features many of the pieces from our cancelled programme from May 2020.

As well as perennial favourite, Dvoraks Symphony No. 9 "From The New World" Westmorland Orchestra are delighted to be premiering a work by Fredrik Holm, "Equilibrium" composed in memory of Jonty Somervell, a lifelong member of the orchestra. We will also be joined by Ellena Newton, trombonist, for Rimsky Korsakovs trombone concerto and Bizets Roman Carnival is also on the programme.
