Írisz Leiter (Jakab) arrives in Budapest in 1913, seeking work at her parents’ old hat shop, but the new owner is none too pleased about it. Atmospheric mystery from Son of Saul director Nemes, gorgeously shot and sometimes disorienting, but the highly watchable Jakab and a good script make it fascinating, thrilling and intoxicating.
