A well-intentioned biopic of Graeme Obree, the professional Scottish cyclist who battled with a home-made bike, sporting bureaucracy and depression. Despite Miller's muted, understated performance, the stock characters and omission of real life conflicts result in a sports film cliché that drags itself over the finish line.
