A gung ho re-imagining of the Ninth Company's adventures in The Soviet war in Afghanistan in the 1980s. It's more buddy romp than serious attempt re-evaluation but the actions scenes are excellent and, until a better film comes along, this messy, cheesy, mainstream war film deserves some attention.
