Before Sunrise Richard Linklater | USA | 1995 | 97m | 15 American student Jesse (Ethan Hawke) is travelling his way around Europe. He strikes up a conversation on a train with a young Parisian woman (Julie Delpy) and on the spur of the moment invites her to spend the day with him in Vienna. As the day wears on, a casual acquaintance turns into something more profound.

Before Sunrise is the first part of the Before trilogy, which consists of three films directed by Richard Linklater (Boyhood) starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy as lovers Jesse and Cline at three different parts of their lives. Before Sunset will be shown on Sun 6 Dec with Before Midnight showing on Sun 10 Jan.

Buy tickets for all three films to receive a 10% discount (tickets must be purchased at the same time).

Customers must wear a face mask/covering for the duration of their visit. This can be removed when eating and drinking.

No drinks or sweets will be on sale although you are welcome to bring your own. If you do please take all wrappers, cans and/or bottles home with you and please also be respectful of other customers when enjoying your snacks. Current guidelines stipulate a maximum of six people from two different households will be able to book seats together (unless a larger number represents a single household).

Entrance to the cinema will be by the main front doors only (not the Jaggy Thistle entrance). Entrance into the cinema auditorium will be by the Back Door only and exit will be by the corridor exit.

If you have mobility issues please email with your booking reference. Final Exit from the building will be the main front door.

Tickets for performances can be purchased online; by phoning the Midsteeple Box Office on 01387 253383; and from the RBCFT Box Office (open evenings when we are screening films). Please Note: customers are unable to purchase tickets from the Robert Burns Centre Museum staff which is open open Tue - Sat 10am to 4.15pm. We apologise for the inconvenience, but we want to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 as best we can.
