Die Hard John McTiernan | USA | 1988 | 132m | 15

Bruce Willis claims Die Hard isn't a Christmas Film, but we think otherwise. An NYPD Officer, John McClane (Bruce Willis), flies to LA to reconcile with his wife (Bonnie Bedelia) on Christmas Eve. Okay, said officer ends up trying to save his wife and several others taken hostage by German terrorists. But look at what's on offer: a work Christmas party in full swing; the use of seasonal music, classical as well as RUN DMC's almighty 'Christmas in Hollis' (one of the all-time great Christmas songs) and, of course, there are festive jumpers (Ho Ho Ho). Just don't shoot the glass. Yippee Ki-yay..
