For this instalment we have:

[Bitvert] – Enter The Void

“Why did I choose this? It’s about hallucinogenic trip into the Tokyo netherworld. A dense claustrophobic investigation of sex, death, drugs and sleaze and rebirth. It is also a discomforting meditation of Tibetan between-states described in the book of the dead. It messes with your head, soul and being. What’s not to like? Expect to hear weird drones, buried bleeps and beats as I attempt to re-imagine this psychedelic head fry with my own audio setup.”

Bitvert is an East London-based electronic music producer and live performer, drawing on a DIY ethos of punk applied to nocturnal electronica and mechanical disruption.

[Tehkla] – Begotten

Tehkla is the electro acoustic trio formed by Amir Shoat, Johann Merel and Joe Zeitlin. Formed in London 2006, influenced by Musique Concrète, Shamanism and Synesthesia.

They record far more than they release, and what gems of audio that have emerged in public have been via the respected Miami label Schematic Music.

For this set they tackle the challenging film Begotten, and we’re very much looking forward to their interpretation of it.

“We thought the ambiguous and grainy quality of the shots combined with the apocalyptical narrative fits well with our approach to sound”.
