A smartly conceived and masterfully executed drama that owes a debt to European cinema. A local sixth form student goes missing in a park, and fellow student, Helen (Townsend), agrees to help the police investigation by playing the girl in a reconstruction. Thereafter, the film explores Helen's changing identity as she comes to assume more and more of the vanished girl's traits. Strangely engrossing stuff, at once mundane and mysterious.
