With the world's climate going suddenly going haywire, flooding in the Sahara and tornados in the Soviet Union, it's clear that something is not quite right. Cue Peter Stenning (Judd), alcoholic columnist, dispatched to figure out what is going on with the world. A romance with Met Centre secretary Jeannie Craig (Munro) reveals the bizarre truth - the earth is 'en route' to a fiery collision with the sun. Old school special effects abound.
