A couple move from their idyllic village home in Burkino Faso to the city of Ouagadougou where their new neighbours try to force them to sell off their land on the outskirts of town. Kaboré demonstrates an assured grasp of the narrative in this fiercely polemical film, which attacks both the enforced urbanisation of the island inhabitants and the government's censorship of the media.
