Casting director Job Gosschalk proves to be a talent to watch with his debut feature Time to Spare, a fizzy, immensely likeable comedy drama with characters that easily win your heart. Since the death of their mother, 40-something music teacher Maarten has been a brother and a father to his sister Molly. She is twenty-one and has decided that the time is right to move in with her boyfriend. Maarten's loyal pal Reina buys him a dog called Doodle to help him feather his empty nest. A chance encounter with the dashing, mixed-up Arthur might help to fill his empty bed but life has a way of taking everyone by surprise in this witty, warm-hearted romp. Screening with black comedy short Scrubbers (director Paul Fuller, screenwriter/producer Caroline Jowett, 2011, 11 mins). Part of Glasgow Film Festival 2012: European Cinema.
