Frank (Coyle) is a small-time narcotics supplier who’s tempted into taking a larger than usual risk on a larger than usual deal. A remake of a 1996 Danish thriller, it’s respectful rather than ambitious but Coyle is a very engaging presence amid a terrific cast, and it’s got style and energy.

A London drugs dealer finds himself on the wrong side of a ruthless Mr Big when a massive deal goes disastrously wrong in Luis Prieto's striking, energetic remake of the 1996 feature that propelled Nicolas Winding Refn (Bronson, Drive) into the international spotlight. Revolving around an outstanding lead performance from Richard Coyle (also seen in this year's Grabbers), the break-neck action underpinned by an atmospheric and rousing original score by Orbital, this is sharp, fast-paced, gripping crime cinema at its very best.
