Born In 45

  • Directed by: Jurgen Bottcher

Bottcher's first film was a 'vérité' style documentary that went against typical East German cinema aesthetics by using non-professional actors and real locations – in this case, urban slums. Despite the director's obvious, almost poetic talent, the film was banned for its 'glorification of the perverse'.
