A film adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s 'The Horla', the film tells the story of Simon Cordier, a well-respected magistrate who comes into contact with a malignant being 'the Horla' whilst visiting a prisoner on death row. The supernatural creature uses mind control to take over the judge’s life and turns him into a dangerous and violent murderer.
