A concert film with a conceptual twist, Awesome… is a cinematic celebration of New York rap legends the Beastie Boys, filmed in action on the final date of their 2004 ‘Challah at Your Boy’ tour at a sold-out Madison Square Gardens. Filmed from the point of view of fifty shutterbug audience members who were handed out fifty DV and Hi-8 cameras and instructed to keep them rolling at all times, the documentary puts the viewer right at the heart of the hip-hop action, offering a unique, rough-edged perspective of one of rap’s most beloved acts at the peak of their powers.
