The true-life story of Paul Ferris, an ordinary young kid from decent hardworking parents, brought up in the notorious area of Blackhill, Glasgow, in the 60s, and his journey through his teenage years to manhood and gangsterdom. At age 11, Paul is already familiar with how tough life is on the street. Poverty breeds corruption, crime, violence and bullying – not to mention a corrupt police force that dealt with the violence in their own way. No one dared to ask why. The lesson from his father: 'Know nothing, say nothing, do nothing, and you can survive. Never grass'.
