Formerly known as the Slave Coast, Benin in West Africa is the birthplace of Voodoo and Voodoo worship continues to be an integral part of everyday life. Shot in 2010 during the country’s rich Vodoun celebrations this film showcases the intimate observations of a variety of Voodoo ceremonies including the cult of Sakpata and the Secret Police of the Zangbeto night watchmen.
