When former chat show host Martin (Brosnan) makes his way to a suicide spot, he's disconcerted to find three other people there with the same idea. Chaumeil's adaptation of Nick Hornby's novel initially stumbles but it gets better, with a brilliant performance from Collette and an ultimately fitting balance between humour and darkness.
