When a set of oil tankers are destroyed in a blizzard, the coast guard has to make a daring and dangerous rescue attempt. At the heart of this tale is the shy Bernie Webber (Pine), his relationship with Miriam (a likeable Grainger) and his derring-dos at sea. Ultimately, the film fails to cultivate the same interest in the crew of the tanker as those tasked with their rescue, and while it has visual drama aplenty, there's a shortage of meat and tension which fails to make it real awards-calibre stuff.
This film is not currently showing in cinemas.
