A moving and masterful prayer for peace.

Filmed in a single, sinuously moving take, Ana Arabia examines the inner life of a small community in Jaffa where young journalist Yael (Yuval Scharf) probes the life of a recently deceased resident, a Holocaust survivor who married a Palestinian Muslim and converted to Islam. Amos Gitai's film uses astonishing virtuosity to achieve great simplicity in portraying a way of life that represents a hope for peaceful coexistence. Screening with Gitai's Book of Amos (2014), a visionary short film on urban conflict and human responsibility.
