Separated from her parents, she transfers to a new high school and takes up residence in the home of her former teacher's mother, whilst also starting work at the woman's convenience store. Despite her efforts to keep a low profile in school, the shocking truth about her previous life unfolds after her classmates discover her exceptional vocal talent. This debut feature by a promising new director is a film of overwhelming emotional force.
