The McLaren Award: New British Animation 1
Inaugurated in 1990, one of the pillars of EIFF’s awards is the McLaren Award for Best British Animation, named after Scottish born animation pioneer Norman McLaren. This first programme presents a highly anticipated Scottish short from the pen of acclaimed comic artist Frank Quitely and reflects on the current situation in Syria, as well as the existential crisis of a GIF, courtesy of BAFTA winner Will Anderson.
