Alleged comedy about foul-mouthed but kind-hearted Tammy (McCarthy) who gets fired, discovers that her husband is unfaithful and goes on a road trip with her promiscuous, alcoholic grandmother (Sarandon). Co-writers McCarthy and her husband Falcone fail to make Tammy likeable, or the central relationship convincing, and the result is an ill-conceived mess.
