- Cast: Frank Grillo, Carmen Ejogo, Zach Gilford
- UK release: 25 July 2014
Engagingly blunt sequel to 2013's low-budget home invasion sensation The Purge: here, LA cop Sergeant (Grillo) finds himself defending four innocent people from the annual night of state-sanctioned, city-wide lawlessness. With striking performances from Grillo and Ejogo, it's patchy but proficient, and an intelligent expansion of the franchise.
