Teenager Jake (Butterfield), traumatised by the death of his grandfather (Stamp), goes to visit the titular home, where his grandfather grew up, run by eccentric Miss Peregrine (Green). Green is fun and memorable, so it's a pity that boring Jake is the main character and that the film is a whole is so disappointing and formulaic.
