Shiori (Gôriki), grief-stricken after the murder of her parents, surrenders her soul to a demon in butler form (Mizushima) in exchange for his help. Ohtani and Sato's adaptation of a hit manga is as moody and dramatic as a hormonal teenage goth. The fight scenes are slick and Gôriki is wonderful, but it does get a bit overwhelmed by its own excess.
