Paris, 1944; as the German army prepares to retreat, General Dietrich von Choltitz (Arestrup) is ordered to destroy the city, but then he's visited by Swedish diplomat Raoul Nordling (Dussollier). Essentially a two-hander set in a hotel room, it's a compelling and eye-opening slice of history, with the leads revelling in their complex characters.
