Kumiko (Kikuchi) is a young single woman who becomes obsessed with the Coen brothers' Fargo, and flees her horrible life in Tokyo to go to Minnesota in search of the film's fictional buried treasure. Kikuchi gives a stripped-back, almightily moving performance in a unique, funny and ultimately crushing exploration of loneliness.
