Sailor Tom Nickerson (Gleeson, and in flashbacks, Holland) tells the tale of how the ship he served on was sunk by a white whale. Based on the story which inspired Melville's Moby-Dick, this well-crafted adventure is less exciting than it should be; who wants to watch an innocent whale being hunted by a bunch of soggy hipsters? Watchable but doldrum-prone.
