The cast of Horrible Histories bring us the story of Bill Shakespeare, a hopeless lute player, who sets off on an adventure to follow his dream. This is a seriously witty subversion of the rise-to-fame of the Bard, which works well as an entertainingly irreverent biopic. It lacks some cinematic dash, but is still an enjoyable first crack at storming the big screen for the Horrible Histories gang.

An all-new film featuring the award winning team behind the hugely successful ‘Horrible Histories’, Bill tells the story of what really happened during Shakespeare's 'Lost Years' - how hopeless lute player Bill Shakespeare leaves his family and home to follow his dream. It’s a tale of murderous kings, spies, lost loves, and a plot to blow up Queen Elizabeth! Riotous fun for the whole family, definitely not to be missed.
