Biopic of Brian Wilson, focusing on the younger Wilson (Dano)'s efforts to create Pet Sounds album, while in the 80s his older self (Cusack) finds a nemesis in the form of his therapist (Giamatti). Despite a too simplistic approach to heroes and villains, Cusack and Dano do well and it's heartfelt and entertaining.
