- Directed by: Peter Sollett
- Cast: Julianne Moore, Ellen Page, Steve Carell, Luke Grimes
Based on the true story of Laurel Hester (Moore), a New Jersey detective with terminal cancer who is told by the board in charge of her pension that the pension benefits can't be transferred to her domestic partner Stacie (Page) in the event of Laurel's death. Sadly, director Sollett never really manages to tone down the broader inclinations of the script or performances. Moore is typically studious in the lead but athough she rises above the clichéd, a lot of other aspects of this film do not.
This film is not currently showing in cinemas.
